PASTORATE:       

Rev. Curtis Thorpe, the father of Rev. Jerry Thorpe, pastored Temple Baptist Church for 38 years. Jerry co-pastored the church with him for 20 years, beginning November 1, 1964. In the Fall of 1984, assumed the position of Senior Pastor of the church. He retired as Senior Pastor in November of 2000. Temple (now Crossroads Fellowship) is the largest church in Odessa. Jerry is now Pastor Emeritus of the congregation and travels about 45 Sundays a year speaking at churches around this nation.
