As I preached Sunday, March 15th, 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God hath not given you a spirit of fear; but of power, and love, and of a sound mind.” We know we serve a faithful God and are leaning on our faith in these difficult times. With that, we also want to be wise.
We are experiencing unprecedented times here in Parker County and around the world. The US Surgeon General, Dr. Jerome Adams, and the CDC are recommending social distancing. Our President, Donald J. Trump, asked us this week to be in groups of ten or less to combat the coronavirus. We want everyone to be safe and healthy. Let’s continue to pray for our national leaders - 2 Timothy 2:1-2.
As a Shepherd, it is my responsibility to feed the sheep, but also to protect the sheep. For these reasons, our services will be online only until further notice, so we will not physically meet at the church. We will have three live-streamed service times Sunday's at 10a and 6p as well as Wednesday's at 7p. All other events and ministry activities are suspended and the buildings will be closed.
On Sunday mornings, we will be in our series on ‘Dynamic Faith’ from Hebrews 11. Sunday nights we are in our series from the book of Ephesians and Wednesday nights we will continue in 'The Spirit Filled Life'
This is a unique situation. However, we are fortunate to live in a day where we have the capability to assemble together online. The church, or “ecclesia”, is a called out, assembling body of believers - Hebrews 10:25. We are asking you to join us at facebook.com/WillowParkBaptistChurch or willowparkbaptist.churchonline.org Sunday at 10a and 6p.
Let’s be bold about inviting people to join us online. I promise you that a clear presentation of the Gospel will be given every time we have a service!
I want to remind you again, if you have any needs or questions, please call our office at 817-441-1596. The staff is available to answer your calls. We will also continue to update you, as more information becomes available, on our website here and facebook.com/WillowParkBaptistChurch.
Tonilyn and I love you,
Yours In Christ,
Pastor, Clark Bosher
We tithe and give above the tithe because of the promises found in God’s Word. It is our joy and privilege to link our faith and our finances to God’s unending supply for us - Philippians 4:19. David said in psalm 37:25 “I have been young, and now am old: yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”
Three things happen when we tithe. First, God is willingly obligated to keep and fulfill His Word - Matthew 5:18. Second, God protects and prospers those who are obedient in the matter of tithing - Luke 6:38, Malachi 3. Lastly, it is God’s way of financing the Gospel here and around the world.
The greatest investment we will ever make is to sow into the Kingdom of God. That investment will come back to us because God cannot and will not break His Word to us - Isaiah 55:11.
