Kids represent the greatest opportunity to make a long-term impact on our world for Christ. Kids who come to faith at an early age discover God’s purpose for their lives and hope for the future. Awana reaches kids where they’re at and walks alongside them in their faith journey by providing fun, Scripture-rich experiences that lead them to know, love and serve Him.
Our Awana Club is fun with a purpose—to reach kids for Jesus Christ and train them to serve Him. We meet each Wednesday evening during the school year from 6:30 pm to 8:15 pm. We invite you to bring your child to our club meetings and let them experience the fun and invaluable rewards of learning God’s Word for themselves!
Cubbies (preschool, 3–4 years)
Our Cubbies Club celebrates the spiritual potential of preschoolers (3–4 years) by helping them develop respect for God, His Son, and His Word. Preschoolers can hardly wait for their next Cubbies club meeting.
Games, puppets, crafts, awards, and other activities transform our program into a lively weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand. Bible-centered handbooks and club activities help your children begin to build a solid understanding of the basics of Christianity at an early age.
Our Cubbies Club is built on two premises: the fact that young children can and should receive spiritual training and that the home is the primary place for this spiritual training. Cubbies Club meets these needs through fun activities, friendly leaders, and foundational teaching.
The Cubbies Club is unique because it supports parents as the primary source of spiritual nurturing. By working directly with their child on the weekly handbook lessons, parents become active participants in their child’s spiritual development. Your kids will reap immediate benefits from their involvement in this exciting program. Just look at what they will learn after only two years:
Cubbies helps you lead your child to God early so your child will respect and trust Him for life.
Sparks (kindergarten–2nd grade)
Here’s what we know: Fun + learning = results
Sparks ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ. Building on the material taught in our Cubbies Club, this program aims to take kids a step deeper into God’s Word while giving them regular opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ.
Sparks Club meetings combine learning with fun, to create an atmosphere of irresistible excitement for kids. Club meetings are divided into three segments:
The Sparks program is firmly grounded in Scripture. Through three different handbooks, your child is led on a journey through the entire Bible. The three handbooks feature:
To many children in kindergarten to second grade, Sparks is the highlight of the week! They love their red vests, the exciting games and spending time with leaders and friends.
Leaders In Training (3rd–6th grade)
Today, 10 to 12 year-olds, known as tweens, face unique pressures, demands, and distractions. These factors can often result in a marked increase in discouragement, apathy, and disengagement.
You might ask what is the difference between L.I.T. and other curriculum's or programs? L.I.T. is not a program, but a process by which to reach preteens with the Gospel of Christ and to disciple, equip, and release them in ministry.
We have found through L.I.T. that the secret of leadership development is to begin discipling children preteens early and allowing them to serve in the church using their spiritual gifts on a regular basis.
L.I.T. uses a seven-step process, which we call the discipleship and equipping process. When a church is properly trained and they walk children and students through these steps, the preteens spiritual foundation is set, and they become solid Christian leaders in the body of Christ at a very young age.
The ultimate message to kids of every age group is that nothing is more important than their relationship with Christ and following His way of living in the Scriptures. So be a part of the fun! Come to Awana or L.I.T. on Wednesday nights!
