ABOUT WBPC

"WHAT COMES INTO OUR MINDS WHEN WE THINK ABOUT GOD IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING ABOUT US."
- A.W. TOZER

In May of 2024 we celebrate 30 years as a church here in Parker County, we could never repay our founding pastor, Dr. Jerry Towles, and those who have come before us. Our Pastor, Clark Bosher, always remind us that ‘our best days have yet to come’ and that our ‘Eternal Mission’ has not changed. May WPBC always be a light house pointing people to Jesus Christ.

THE HISTORY OF WPBC

During Clark’s early years, his faith was guided by the powerful ministry of Dr. E.K. Oldham.  As a teenager, Pastor Clark surrendered to the ministry.  After graduating from Arlington Baptist College, he served under Dr. Jerry Thorpe at Temple Baptist Church in Odessa, Texas.  The influence of this wonderful church and pastor significantly impacted Pastor Clark and his future ministry.

In 1991, led by the call of God on his life, Pastor Clark surrendered to be a traveling Evangelist.  For 15 years he traveled and preached hundreds of revivals, crusades, camps, youth rallies, and harvest days. During this time, he and his wife, Tonilyn, welcomed both of their children, Braxton and Brooklyn. Together the Boshers travelled to over 45 different states and saw God move tremendously in their lives.

In 2006, Pastor Clark was called to be the pastor of WPBC and has seen God do the miraculous. In 2 Timothy 4:2 is the calling to “Preach the Word,” and while this seems to be outdated for many, Pastor Clark believes it is right and relevant even in our current day.  He is blessed with a unique gift in preaching the Word and has a passion to see souls saved.

Currently, both of Pastor Clark and Tonilyn’s children are in Bible College as they prepare for the call of God on their lives. He truly believes that “the best days are ahead” for his family and the Willow Park Baptist Church and is excited to see how God is going to continue to bless in the years to come.

PASTOR CLARK BOSHER

We believe that doctrine matters. When you join a church you are joining a body of like-minded believers. You can find our statement of faith and beliefs here.

CORE BELIEFS

Jesus wants a relationship with you. No matter who you are or what you've done, Jesus came to earth to save you. He loves you unconditionally and He came to give you victory over sin, shame, and guilt.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO FOLLOW JESUS?

The mission of Willow Park Baptist Church is the same mission Jesus gave his followers: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

GO THEREFORE AND MAKE DISCIPLES...

Melonie was born in Stamford, Tx in 1972 and was raised to love and trust the Lord. At the age of 7, she accepted Christ as her Savior at First Baptist Church in Stamford. About a year later she and her family moved to Odessa, Tx where she eventually met, Dewayne, her love and the one God provided to journey through life together. They married in January 1994. God moved her, her husband and 4 crazy, fun blessings (Alexandria, Macee, Britt, and Zane) to Weatherford in August of 2009. After a year’s search for a church home, they found it here at Willow Park Baptist Church in March of 2011. Another blessing, Sawyer, was born in late 2012. Their family continues to grow as they welcomed a son-in-law, Andrew, in September 2022. Family and church family have always been an invaluable part of her life. Serving as the the Nursery Coordinator is truly a special opportunity for her to serve the Lord and share the love of Christ with even the youngest of God’s creations.
